About Youth Rowing
more than just a sport
The Foundry’s youth rowing programs offer structured, inclusive opportunities for students in grades 6–12 to learn, grow, and thrive on the water. Designed to meet rowers at every level, these programs build fundamental skills, promote teamwork, and support athletic development through age-appropriate training and competition.
Students in middle school can join our Development Program, where they learn the basics of rowing in a supportive, team-oriented environment. High school athletes are invited to participate on the Cleveland Foundry Juniors (CFJ) Competitive Team, which prepares student-athletes for regattas and structured training across fall, winter, and spring seasons. For those seeking a more flexible commitment, the Recreational Rowing option offers continued involvement and skill development without the demands of a full competitive schedule.
Across all levels, The Foundry emphasizes safety, personal growth, and community, ensuring that young rowers develop confidence both on and off the water. Financial assistance is available to ensure that cost does not prevent participation.
