About Adult Rowing
what is rowing?
Rowing is a full-body workout that engages all of your major muscle groups, helping you build muscle mass and strengthen your upper body, lower body, and core. You can start seeing benefits from rowing in as little as 10–15 minutes per day. Each workout produces maximum results by engaging over 86% of your body's muscles (legs, core, arms, back), delivering the perfect balance of aerobic endurance and muscular strength all in one workout.
what are rowing tanks?
Rowing tanks are indoor facilities that simulate the experience of rowing a boat on open water. Modern tanks move the water past the rowers, simulating the feel of rowing a boat through open water. Rowing tanks are primarily used for off-season rowing, muscle specific conditioning and technique training, or simply when bad weather does not allow for open water training.
where do i park?
The Tank House is located on the south side of The Foundry closest to the Columbus Road Bridge. Participants may park in the adjoining gravel lot and enter for programming through the Tank House side entrance, brown door. Additional parking is available in the Main paved lot just south of The Foundry or street parking on Columbus Road.
