Creating Access for Students

the foundry's financial assistance

The Foundry is committed to making rowing and sailing accessible for as many young people as possible. Our Financial Assistance Program helps families experiencing financial hardship participate in Foundry youth programs by offering need-based reduced fees, no payback,  just support when you need it.

Assistance awards are created using the information you share in your application and may include a mix of reduced program fees, expected family contribution, and volunteer hours. Each award is tailored to your family’s current situation, and everything you share is kept confidential. Coaches don’t see your aid status ever.

Financial assistance applies to program fees only and requires a new application for each program season. Once submitted, applications typically take about 10 days to process, and award notifications are sent via email. If the reduced cost is still out of reach, our team is happy to work with you on additional payment options.

STORIES FROM OUR FAMILIES

Hear from families whose lives have been changed by our financial assistance program

"We are a middle-income family that sometimes has trouble making ends meet.  The Foundry's Financial Assistance program has allowed our children to participate in a top-level Sailing program when we otherwise would not have been able to afford it. The Financial Aid process is confidential, considerate, and fair. Through The Foundry's sailing program our kids have learned perseverance and teamwork, built life-long friendships, and greatly developed their racing skills. We are very appreciative of The Foundry's for making this possible!"

"Receiving financial aid for our child has been an incredible blessing during a very difficult time for our family. While navigating a medical crisis, much of our focus and energy has been devoted to treatment and recovery, and the financial strain has been significant. The support we received helped relieve some of that pressure, allowing us to provide stability and normalcy for our child when everything else felt uncertain. We are deeply grateful for this assistance as it has made a meaningful difference in our lives and reminded us that we’re not alone in this journey."

Lisa Kowalski

Parent

Financial aid gave our child the opportunity to continue rowing after her high school team dissolved. It allowed her to keep developing her skills, build confidence, and form new friendships during an important time in her life. The application process was simple and the response was quick, making the experience easy for our family. This support eased financial strain during a time of rising costs and ensured our child had the same opportunities as others, most importantly, the chance to continue doing something she truly loves.
