Sailing Camp Counselors help create a safe, fun, and inclusive learning environment on shore and on the water. Spend your summer sharing your passion for sailing, building small-boat skills, and helping young sailors experience the thrill of sailing on Lake Erie, while making a lasting impact on the Cleveland community!

Key Responsibilities

Lead adult learn-to-sail instruction aboard J22 and/or T-10 keelboats during scheduled courses and sessions

Ensure the safety of all participants on the water and during dockside activities

Prepare boats and instructional materials to deliver curriculum aligned with Foundry learning objectives​

Create an inclusive, supportive learning environment for participants of varying experience levels​

Communicate clearly with participants regarding expectations, safety procedures, and sailing concepts​

Report attendance, incidents, equipment damage, or safety concerns promptly​

Assist with boat preparation, post-sail securing, and routine equipment care​

racing on Lake Erie and beyond. As an Associate Coach, you will work closely with the Foundry Sailing Head Coach to support middle and high school sailors in small-boat and team-based racing programs.
