This an entry level event/ opportunity to get the community involved in rowing, competing, seeing campus, meeting our community, and having some fun! Anyone is welcome to come down and watch as well as tour the facility, chat with coaches, etc. 

The competition is for athletes that are brand new to rowing whether the ergatta is their first time trying rowing or they have participated in Foundry field trips, P.E. Take overs, or Summer programs, etc. New athletes would be competing in their own 500 meter dash and then CFJ teams; (Developmental, Rec, and 8th Grade race team) would be competing as well in septate categories. The CFJ competitive team will be helping with the ergatta as well as giving tours, and helping with our "Try it" Session that evening.  General details are below, schedule may be adjusted depending on number of entries etc. 

Educator Learn to Row Sessions are FREE community sessions open to all teachers, Gym teachers, School admin, school coaches, etc! During the sessions participants will learn the basics of the rowing stroke, Learn to row on the indoor rowing tanks (are welcome to observe instead if they would rather) learn about the Foundry’s mission, programing, opportunities and scholarships that exist in rowing, and get a tour of the facility (including the boats, docks, weight/erg room, event spaces). There will also be time for participants to talk with coaches and staff about any questions they might have!
