Our community rowing offerings provide accessible and engaging opportunities for people of all ages and experience levels to enjoy time on the water. Designed for both beginners and experienced rowers, these experiences focus on building confidence, developing skills, and fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment. Participants can explore rowing fundamentals, enjoy friendly competition, and connect with others through shared time on the water in a relaxed and supportive setting.

"Try It" Tank Sessions

“Try it” sessions are FREE community sessions open to the public for all ages to come and be a part of our community, learn more, and “Try” rowing in the tanks! Participants will get a chance to teach their friends and family how to row in the tanks if they already know, or participate in a 20 minute, free instructor led learn to row tank session that will start at the beginning of the “Try it” Time slot. Guests will also be able to see the rest of campus, including the boats, docks, community room, erg room, and talk with coaches and staff about any questions they might have!

What to Expect

Age Group: 10-18 years Old+

No experience or swim test needed

Educator Learn to Row Sessions are FREE community sessions open to all teachers, Gym teachers, School admin, school coaches, etc! During the sessions participants will learn the basics of the rowing stroke, Learn to row on the indoor rowing tanks (are welcome to observe instead if they would rather) learn about the Foundry’s mission, programing, opportunities and scholarships that exist in rowing, and get a tour of the facility (including the boats, docks, weight/erg room, event spaces). There will also be time for participants to talk with coaches and staff about any questions they might have!

What to Expect

Age Group: Educators, Teachers, School Admin, Gym Teachers.

Learn the stroke in the tanks, or just observe
