interscholastic high school racing
An After-School Program for 8th-12th Graders!
The Foundry’s interscholastic sailing program brings together students from across Greater Cleveland to train and compete in the Midwest Interscholastic Sailing Association (MISSA). Open to sailors in grades 8–12, the program welcomes both new and experienced sailors interested in double–handed racing. The Foundry provides professionally maintained E420 sailboats, a premier venue, and expert coaching. Sailors practice multiple days per week and compete in local and regional regattas throughout the fall and spring seasons. To participate in Tier 1 and 2 regattas, sailors must form a full team of four from the same school (an A and B boat). Tier 3 regattas allow mixed-school teams, with final team assignments determined by Foundry coaching staff. Foundry sailors develop advanced racing skills, teamwork, and leadership with many continuing to compete at top collegiate programs nationwide!
