An Intermediate Program for Adults!
The Foundry’s Adult Explore Dinghy Sailing course is an introduction to the basic knowledge and skills of sailing dinghy sailboats. Hop into one of The Foundry’s 13-foot, two person racing boats to learn how to steer the boat, trim the sails, and use your body weight to keep the boat fast! Some prior experience is recommended. This is a physical and "hands on" series of classes with instruction on land and on water, by US Sailing certified small boat instructors. Participants will learn the parts of the boat, points of sail, knot tying, identifying wind direction, and more with the Cleveland skyline as the backdrop! Our experienced instructors focus on safety and fun, so that you leave the course confident on the water and eager to learn more.
