ADULT EXPLORE SAILING
Beginner One
Explore Sailing Beginner One lessons offer the perfect introduction to the world of sailing, designed for those with little to no experience on the water. In this hands-on course, students learn the fundamentals of sailing, including basic boat handling, terminology, safety procedures, and wind awareness. Participants will practice how to steer, tack, and jibe, building confidence as they go. The small class sizes ensure personalized attention, allowing sailors to learn at their own pace while enjoying the thrill of being on the water.

ADULT EXPLORE SAILING
Beginner TWO
Beginner Two lessons are designed for adults who have completed a beginner-level sailing course or have some basic experience on the water and are eager to build their skills further. In these small-group classes, students focus on refining essential sailing techniques, including steering, tacking, jibing, and handling different wind conditions. Instructors provide personalized guidance to help sailors become more comfortable and confident, while focusing on improving boat control and increasing understanding of sailing theory. Whether you're looking to build on what you’ve already learned or feel more at ease on the water, Adult Explore Sailing Beginner Two lessons offer a way to continue your sailing journey and prepare for Intermediate lessons that introduce a third sail, and the rules of racing.

INTERMEDIATE
Adult Explore Sailing Intermediate Level Lessons are designed for sailors who have a solid foundation in basic sailing techniques and are interested in advanced boat handling, racing tactics, and strategic sailing in a variety of conditions. Participants will handle challenging maneuvers and improve their overall boat control in both light and heavy winds. The course also includes race preparation, helping sailors understand the rules of racing. Instructors provide personalized feedback and guidance to help sailors develop their decision-making, teamwork, and communication skills, essential for more advanced sailing scenarios. Whether you're aiming to improve your performance in regattas or simply want to enhance your sailing capabilities, Adult Explore Sailing Intermediate Lessons help participants become more confident, race-ready sailors.

ADULT EXPLORE SAILING
DINGHY SAILING
The Foundry’s Adult Explore Dinghy Sailing course is an exciting, hands-on introduction to the fundamentals of small boat sailing. This course offers a blend of challenges, learning, and fun. Climb aboard one of The Foundry’s agile 13-foot, two-person E420 racing dinghies and learn to confidently steer, trim sails, and balance the boat for maximum speed and performance. This dynamic series of on-land and on-water sessions emphasizes safety, skill-building, and the pure joy of sailing. Participants will explore essential sailing techniques, including understanding the parts of the boat, reading wind direction, and mastering the points of sail, all with the backdrop of the Cleveland skyline! Some prior sailing experience is recommended, but the welcoming environment and expert coaching make this course fun for all motivated adult learners. By the end, you'll leave the docks with a strong foundation, increased confidence, and a passion to keep exploring the water!
