ROW. SAIL. DREAM.

The Cleveland Foundry’s Row. Sail. Dream. program strives to make the Foundry’s rowing and sailing programs accessible to students by removing financial and experiential barriers to participation.

Engaging youth in the sports of rowing and sailing helps to promote health and fitness; supports development of non-cognitive skills such as teamwork, communication, and perseverance; exposes students to scholarship and career opportunities; and provides access to two of our region’s most valuable natural assets: Lake Erie and the Cuyahoga River. The Row. Sail. Dream. program connects youth of all experience levels, from the novice to the serious athlete, to the resources they need to be successful in the sports of rowing and sailing, including swimming lessons and STEM education.

The Row. Sail. Dream. program is accessible to individual student athletes as well as to student groups through partnerships with schools, afterschool programs, summer camps, and other youth-supporting organizations. The Row. Sail. Dream. program includes school visits and assemblies, field trips, and afterschool or club programming for student groups. The goal of the program is to introduce students to rowing and sailing, and ultimately facilitate participation on the Cleveland Foundry Juniors rowing team, the Foundry’s sailing team, and rowing or sailing camps and clinics at the Foundry.

The Row. Sail. Dream. program currently supports 6th-12th grade students in public school districts throughout Cuyahoga County. Contact us at rowsaildream@clevelandfoundry.org
