This series has been designed primarily for middle school through collegiate level, however athletes of all age are welcome.

Presence, resilience, and positive self-talk
SESSION 3: DEC 10TH

Our three sessions are designed to be sequential, although participants are welcome to come and go as they are available. At the end of the three sessions, athletes will walk away with a "toolbox" of strategies like meditation, journalling, and goal-setting that they can use in school, sports, and other life endeavors.

Session Structure: "In each session, athletes will participate in dynamic individual and team exercises, reflections, and group discussions, and walk away with mental tools they can use to reach their potentials in rowing, school, and beyond"

Connor Riegal
Meredith Fischer is a third-year medical student at Case Western Reserve University. She rowed for her high school in the Chicago area and later at Stanford University. Right now, her career interests are in general surgery, pediatrics, and trauma/critical care medicine; interests outside of medicine include running, vegetarian cooking, and reading.
Alexander Richards is a First-Year medical student at Case Western Reserve University. He began rowing in middle school in the Boston area and rowed in college on the heavyweight team at Harvard. After college, he rowed on the US National team and most recently on the Olympic team for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Right now, his career interests are in Orthopedic Surgery, Pediatrics, and Sports Medicine. Outside of school, Alexander spends time with his fiancé and their dog; he enjoys running, reading, drawing, and watching movies.
