Under Ohio Law, persons born on or after January 1, 1982, must successfully complete a boater safety course in order to operate a motorized vessel powered by more than 10 horsepower

We can never educate enough.  Anyone who operates a motorized vessel should take this course in order to understand all the safety components of boating.

Safety is at the forefront of all we do at the Foundry. This Spring we will be offering those in our community (3) separate OBEC courses.  Select one of the sessions, attend and pass the exam at the end of the course and receive your boater’s license!

  • Lead by Leigh Garam, certified instructor by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources

  • Successful completion of this course may allow for insurance discounts, and with jet-ski rentals.

  • The course is approved by NASBLA (National Association of Boating Law Administrators).
