"Dare to Be" Screening in the Courtyard
What a film. Join us Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 at 8pm for this one-time opportunity as we screen the movie "Dare to Be" in the Courtyard of our on-the-river campus. During this sure-to-be incredible evening, we will dive into rowing and its opportunities post-high school.
"Dare to Be is a documentary film not only on the sport of rowing, but also a film on the human spirit. It follows a series of rowers ranging from novice girls to women training for the Olympics, as they overcome obstacles and seek greatness. We learn along their journey that greatness can come in many forms and should not always be measured by traditional concepts of success, but rather by individual triumphs. Essentially suggesting that athletes can define what success looks like to them – not coming in last place, beating a rival, medaling for the first time, qualifying for nationals, or winning an Olympic gold medal." -Dare to Be summary
As previously stated, the evening will begin at 8pm in the courtyard of our on-the-river location. Attendees should plan on bringing their own seating & blanket options. We will have a food truck in attendance, as well as a panel of female rowers who have continued their rowing careers after high school! Cost is $5, which can be paid upon registration via our website. Attendees are required to register on our website here or by pressing either the button in the upper right-hand corner of this page, or the button below.
Get excited for a fun evening of rowers, community, and collaboration!
